Our Swedish menu items are based on classic country cooking and use only the best simple, natural ingredients. Every dish at the Red Oak is lovingly prepared from scratch. Like all good Scandinavian kitchens, The Red Oak is filled with heavenly scents. A wonderful warm aroma wafting through the dining hall greets guests and sets the stage for a delicious array of daily fare and specials.

SMÖRGÅS – Open-Faced Scandinavian Sandwiches
Why do we serve SMÖRGÅS style? Sandwiches are most commonly served open-faced in Scandinavian countries. It involves one piece of bread, meat or fish and the proper garnishes.
All served with a choice of lettuce salad, cottage cheese or apple sauce. Add soup instead for an additional $1.00.

6 oz of Scandinavian meatloaf topped with our famous dill sauce, mayo-mustard, pickled beets and cucumber.

Sliced turkey, lingonberries, dilled cream cheese and candied pecans served on a toasted croissant and accompanied by a luncheon salad.
The Great Americans
Hearty sandwiches on Swedish rye bread, served with potato chips.
